Extra-Curricular Activities

At Saint Teresa's School, education goes beyond the classroom. We believe in nurturing the whole child — mind, body, and spirit — and encouraging students to discover their God-given gifts through a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities.

Our programs are designed to build leadership, creativity, collaboration, and a deeper sense of community, all within a faith-based environment.

Opportunities for Middle School Students

Our middle school students are invited to participate in enriching and exciting activities that allow them to explore new interests, serve others, and develop valuable life skills:

Our band program invites students in grades 3–8 to explore the joy of instrumental music. Through weekly rehearsals, students build foundational music skills, learn to read music, and grow in discipline and teamwork. Performances  give students the opportunity to share their talents and celebrate their progress.

Open to all students in grades 3–8, our choir offers a space to worship through music, build vocal technique, and grow in confidence. Students perform at school Masses, monthly parish masses, and special events, using their voices to glorify God and uplift the school community.

Our drama program helps students discover the power of storytelling through performance. Open to students in grades 5 through eight, students learn acting, stage presence, and collaboration as they prepare for a school-wide play or musical. Drama encourages creativity, self-expression, and builds confidence — all while having fun and working as a team.

The International Club celebrates the beauty and diversity of cultures around the world. Each year, the club organizes International Night, a beloved community event featuring food, music, displays, and traditions from various countries. Students take pride in sharing their heritage and learning from others.

Through this nationally recognized program, students gain practical knowledge about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness. Guided by community volunteers and real-world scenarios, students build confidence and prepare for future success.

Membership in NJHS recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. NJHS members are role models within our school community and participate in meaningful service projects throughout the year.

Creativity meets sustainability in the Recycled Art Club. Students use recycled materials to create beautiful and meaningful works of art while learning about environmental responsibility and the importance of caring for God’s creation.

Hands-on learning meets innovation in our Robotics Club. Students work in teams to build, program, and test robots, developing problem-solving and engineering skills in a fun and supportive environment. It’s a great way to spark an early interest in STEM fields.

Our Student Council gives students a voice and a platform for leadership. Elected by their peers, members help organize school spirit events, service projects, and represent the student body with maturity and integrity.

Opportunities for our younger friends (Grades 3-5)

At Saint Teresa's, we know that learning happens in many ways — not just during class time. That’s why we offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs for students in grades 3–5 that help them explore their interests, build friendships, and grow in confidence and creativity. Each club is rooted in our school’s values of faith, curiosity, and joyful discovery.
